It all started in early 2014 after watching the drift bible and some other drifting movies, and i was very fascinated about drifting. After i did some research and found out about a drift tournament called midwest drift union starting in 6 months. Stumped that i obviously couldnt compete in my chevy truck i had to find a cheap car, went to a local junk yard after looking for 35 minutes, i stumpled upon a nissan 240sx zenki coup, it being a bit rusty paint faded, and one anxle snapped off i had 6 months to rebuild it, so i brought i towed it home, put a new axle coil overs, and a welded diff on it i figured thats all i need. I went to my local track witch is Texas motor speedway just outside of dallas. After taking a few runs and learning a few more things about drifting i still kept spinning out a guy came up to me named ryan (slp felon) and another guy named aj (xxjohnson99xx) and gave me some useful tips and looked under my hood and at some other stuff and told me my car is no where near ready for a major drift competition, shocked and a little angered, he offered to help me and so did aj. A few nights later i ordered a twin scroll turbos, full brake assembly off a 300zx braided and bled the lines, cold air intake, slotted rotors, some camber, toe and caster plates, camshaft, a new crank, and alot more stuff thats to long to list, after a few days we got all the parts installed, painted it gloss forrest green (the original color) needing a new hood spoiler and trunk lid, i bought some off a ghetto performance shop witch was all midnight purple parts and bought a pair of volk te37s. We all went to the track a few days later and still had some problems that the ass wouldnt stay out long enough, knowing i had 5 months left i had to hurry getting this car together. I went to felons performance shop and him and his crew got my car dyno tested and tuned the chip and ecu for me and i was pushing 460hp to the crank with 390 torque. Got the damping fixed up and got 12k front spring rate with a 6k rear spring rate. And took it for a spin in the parking lot of the shop and it felt good so i left it alone for awhile. After realizing i need more parts but i cant afford it i needed sponsors. Me not knowing someone recorded a few of my practice sessions in the parking lot and one or two from the track, takata, sparco, seibon and falken contacted me and was impressed with the videos, so we quickly got a sponsor deal done and got some new tires, seats, harneses and some stickers lol. 3 months to go and i still needed some work on my technique and on my car. I realized im not getting enough grip so i played with my caster toe and camber, i put 3.1 camber in the front, none in the rear, .1 toe in the front and none in the rear, with 7.0 degrees of caster. Took it to the track and the car was straight up money. After that for the next 3 months i was just trying to get the feel for tandeming and better techniques. A week before round 1 me ryan and aj was at our home turf texas motor speedway where round 1 was going to be hosted ironically, so we went there to have some fun an get some practice in a. A week pasted and feeling super confident but had some good ole rookie jidders. I qaulifed 2nd i won my first ever battle and advancing in to the great 8, then losing against dma capinplanet. Devasted after the loss due to me stalling out i went straight home. Not very much happened after that besides me being extremely depressed, i got a new clutch from ogura and a short throw shifter after that, the competition was 1 week away so me aj and ryan flew to arizona, aj and ryan came to just give me some support. We got our cars shipped and went to sedona where round 2 would be hosted. Knowing i wouldnt lose this time. I qaulified 3rd and i was up against dsi tasty toenail. I end up going to a omt after a super close battle and pulled a huge gap and got the win. After a hour of waiting i was up against mellow yellow of team neon sliders, i followed first, he dropped a tire and i was a car and a half behind him, having a way better line. It was mt turn to lead, after i pulled a major gap and him nearly spinning out i looked in my rear view knowing i won and i kinda smurked a bit, coming around the last hair pin corner not used to my new clutch i had to slow down hit the clutch and shift down, so i did but the clutch pushed out my rear end to far and i end up spinning, and mellow end up getting the win, heres the kicker, if i won my opponent blew his tranny so i would of been in the finals and the person who was in the finals if i faced him was a easy win. After a sucky flight home i got in bed and slept it off.
