Subject: 1969 Chevy Camaro "Red Devil" Sun Feb 01, 2015 5:57 pm
This special Camaro was built by a GM engineer by the name of Mark Steilow. Mark contacted me a few weeks ago and wanted to know if i was interested in shooting his car as I left a Facebook post reaching out to many car builders in hopes of them allowing me too shoot their car. I arrived as he was putting the final touches on his new GM Performance supercharger kit. This version packed more of a punch to his crate LS7 with LS9 ZR-1 heads. The overall output was well over the 1,000 mark at the wheels before the bottle kicked in. He explained the idea of them working on the ZR-1 at the time codename "Blue Devil" and him building this car to exceed the performance of it and that's were the name "Red Devil" came from. We talked on how there's very few OE parts left on this thing and the max top end is somewhere around the 240 mark. Did i mention this things a very used road and track car, and it spins the tires till the top of 4th gear. If i ever owned a first gen Camaro, this is what i'd shoot for.
